Training Grants
Graduate student opportunities are expanded at the University of Minnesota through funding derived from NIH & NSF training grants awarded to faculty and graduate programs. These grants are highly competitive, are annually reviewed and must be periodically renewed. Renewal depends on demonstrating successful training of the predoctoral students receiving support, so these grants represent the committment of the graduate faculty to the retention, graduation and career success of our students. Here is a list of the currently funded training grants in the biomedical sciences: Training for Future Biotechnology Development Cancer Biology Multidisciplinary Training in Cardiovascular Research Chemistry-Biology Interface Computational Neuroscience Developmental Biology Essential Human Embryonic Stem Cell Culture Methods Functional Proteomics in Aging Hematology Research Immunology Training in Lung Science Muscle Research Musculoskeletal Training Grant Training in Neurobehavioral Development Neurobehavior/Neuroimmune Addiction Research Neuro-physical-computational Sciences Predoctoral Training of Neuroscientists Neuroscience Training in Drug Abuse Translational Research in Neurobiology of Disease Visual Neuroscience
